On Monday, January 15, 2007, at her residence in Arlington, VA. Beloved wife of Tom Anderson. She is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Lee) A. Henderson and Jill (Rachel) M. Barr; three stepsons, Steven T. Anderson, David R. Anderson and Eric L. Anderson; 14 grandchildren; brother Ted (Patti) Ogston ('62); and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceeded in death by her parents Mary and Charles Ogston and her sister Mary Ogston ('58) Von Raesfeld.

~ Executive secretary with the Fluor-Daniel Corporation in Irvine, CA
~ Founding President of the Orange County Natural History Museum in Laguna Niguel, CA
~ a Master Gardner her whole life - her gardens were recognized by local gardnening clubs in Washington State, California and Arlington, VA
~ a White House Volunteer from 1993 to 1995
~ a volunteer gardener for the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. from 2000 to 2006
~ a volunteer children's tutor at her local elementary school from 2004 to 2006

And she was a traveler - Hawaii, Alaska, multiple trips in Europe and multiple safaris in Africa - the most recent one in September 2006.

As you can see my mom lived a very adventurous and full life. She was a very optimistic, and loving person who was a great friend to many and cherished by her family.

A memorial funeral service was held February 1, 2007, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Alexandria, VA.
