CHARLES BYRON WARE, a resident of Orting, WA, passed away in Puyallup on July 16, 2007. He was born on November 21, 1939 in Yakima, WA to Rosemary and Walter "Curley" Ware.

He moved to Richland in 1949, graduated from Columbia (Richland) High School in 1958, attended WSU and then served in the US Army. In the 1970s and 1980s, his career lead him to the WA State Soldiers Home in Orting as the Food Service Manager.

He often enjoyed beach and river walks, reading, fishing, hunting, gambling, his pets, and exhibiting his fine sense of humor to his family and friends with a straight face and a twinkle in his eye.

Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley Ware of Orting.

He is survived by his brother, Don Ware ('58) of Santa Cruz, CA and sister, Jane Ware Whitney ('59) of Spokane; son, John and wife Annette Ware of Sammamish; daughters, Tanya Ware of Seattle and Tracy Ware of Port Townsend; step children, Tami and husband Ron Morr of Renton and Kelly Higdon of Eatonville; his 3 grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children Janet Ware of Walla Walla.

Viewing will be held on Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup. Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 23 at 1:30 pm at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
