Steve passed away Friday, April 8, 2011. He was born in Richland on January 14, 1949, and graduated from Columbia High School in 1967.

Steve attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, ID, on a basketball scholarship where he met his lifetime partner Beth Galloway. On September 7, 1968, Steve and Beth married. In 1981, Steve and Beth established Sandlin Lumber Company in Las Vegas and over a 28-year period expanded it into a major lumber supplier serving clients across the country.

Steve's deep love and dedication for his family and friends was his hallmark and he spent much of his leisure time with them fishing and hunting in Colorado and Alaska.

Steve is a member of the Church of Nazarene. Memorial contributions may be made to Las Vegas Church of the Nazarene – Children Ministries, 3825 Pecos-McLeod, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Lindy Sandlin.

Steve is survived by his wife, Beth Sandlin; son, Jason Sandlin; daughter, Erin Sandlin; four grandchildren, Rhyan, Gage, Maryjane and Daxton; his mother, Dean Sandlin; two brothers; Norm Sandlin, Don Sandlin; and a sister, Beverly ('74) Sandlin DuBree.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 12th, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern, in Las Vegas. A celebration of his life will be at 1pm Wednesday, April 13th at Las Vegas Church of the Nazarene.
