Jerry Blaney, 81, passed away on October 10, 2012 from C.O.P.D. Jerry, a long time Mustang, OK, resident was born on August 17, 1931, to Lucille and LeRoy Blaney. He grew up in Richland, served in the Air Force, and moved to Oklahoma where he married and raised his family.

He was a successful petroleum engineer, and retired from Liberty National Bank as vice-president of Natural Resources. He then enjoyed spending time at Lake Eufaula, OK. During the last seven years his passion was the production of tons of wine grapes from the vineyard on his acreage.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Rosalie, and two sons, Lee Roy and Terrace Anthony.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Lita, one son, Ed, four daughters, Karon Fitzgerald (Pat), Sharon Reed (Jesse), Kathy Blackwell (Louis), and Cheryl Gabel (Bryan), five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jerry would want you to hug your loved ones and be generous in spirit. The family will celebrate his life with a private memorial. Published in The Oklahoman on October 13, 2012.
