On August 1, 2012, Sandra Bishoop Smith passed away at her home in Kennewick. She was surrounded by her loving friends and family. Sandra was born in Richland June 9, 1951, to Edna Mitilla and Horace Bishop. She grew up and attended school in the Richland area.

Sandra enjoyed making ceramics, participating in aerobics and riding her Harley. She had a love for keeping her yard "The Best One On the Block." She prized her collection of sunflowers and the sun and the moon. Sandra spent time listening to her favorite band, the Beatles, and being at the coast. Sandra was a huge fan of baseball and the Mariners. She could always be found in a ball cap cheering for her favorite team, the Red Sox.

In 1970, after graduating from Columbia High in 1969, she joined work forces at Lamb Weston, where she enjoyed her job very much.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Amy Lynn Smith Downs; her son, Christopher Wade Smith, his wife Lisa Middleton Smith; grandchildren, Riley, Rhiannon, Ryan, Jared, and Lily; sister Carol Bishop Horne ('57), brother-in-law Gene Horne ('57); and multiple other family members too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Wade Smith and sister Suzie Bishop Henn ('62).

Services will be held at The Tower of Pentecost Church, Saturday, August 18, at 11am, 930 Aaron Drive Richland, WA 99352
