Colleen Sheeran - 1956

Colleen Sheeran Jones ~ recent

Be it fifty mile an hour Tri-Cities winds, thirty degrees outside, you could always look up in the stands and find mom. Her passion was her children and grandchildren and missing a baseball, football or basketball game, regardless of weather, just wasn't in her vocabulary.

Our Colleen went to meet her Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2013 after a courageous battle resulting from complications after surgery. She fought hard, but her parents, Clem and Helen Sheeran, and her big brother Pat ('48), were ready for her to join them "upstairs".

Mom is survived by her partner, her soul mate, Ron, who shared every game, every moment and a few months shy of fifty years of marriage. Her kids, Greg (Brandi) and Kelly (Pat) and grandsons Dylan, Devin, Dallas and Connor all know to go out and drink in everything life has to offer, while looking up after doing something cool, pointing to the sky and saying "that was for you, Grandma". Her sisters, Katie ('61), Peggy ('63) and Sally ('58), her brother Mike ('66) and their spouses and nieces and nephews were a central part of mom's universe and were loved by mom beyond measure.

Mom was a hard working lady. Starting as a theater usher for fifty cents an hour, she went on to be a human resources manager at the Hanford site, responsible for hiring thousands of workers. Mom and dad were entrepreneurial, running several small businesses and being involved in the Tri-Cities intimately as life-long residents. The number of friends that held a special place in Colleen's heart would take the entire Sunday edition of the Herald to list. She loved and was loved.

A classy and reserved lady, mom insisted that a celebration of life, remembering the laughter and good times, was the only thing that would do. Please join us at the Country Gentleman Restaurant, 9221 W. Clearwater Avenue, in Kennewick on March 30, 2013 from 1pm to 3pm to help us celebrate an amazing lady.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation on behalf of Colleen to either the Tri-Cities Cancer Center or Tri-Cities Hospice.

Mom, we miss you beyond measure, but know you're with us... we love you.
