Earl Brown passed away on February 28, 2014. He was born on April 19, 1932, in Hot Springs, AR.

Earl moved to Richland in 1943 with his parents. Earl lettered in boxing and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1951. He joined the Navy in 1952 and became active during the Korean War on the heavy cruiser USS Bremerton.

Earl was a Heavy Equipment Operator and an Iron Worker throughout his work history. He enjoyed watching boxing and car races. Earl even travelled to Arizona five different times for NASCAR.

He was preceded in the death by his sister, Dorothy.

Earl is survived by his sisters, Mary Frances and Jean Michels. He is also survived by his wife, Loretta; three sons, Robert Earl Brown; Paul William Brown; and Alan Reed Brown; in addition he is survived by his five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

At Earl's request, there will be no public services.

A private family 21-Gun Salute will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Richland.
