Jim, 59, of Pasco, WA passed away April 18, 2014. He was born December 12, 1954, in Richland to Glenn and Bobbie Williams Ellingsworth. Jim was raised in West Richland where he fished the Yakima River almost every day. He grew up teasing his cousins and became interested in football and loved watching the Green Bay Packers. Jim attended Columbia Basin College and played football during his time there. After graduating CBC he went on to attend Central Washington University and obtained his Bachelor's degree.

Jim worked out in the area and achieved an award for over 20 years of service at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. He also worked as a bus driver for Pasco School District. Jim enjoyed participating in the ARC square dances for many years and was a member of West Highlands United Methodist Church.

He loved his family and was extremely proud of his daughter, Kathryn. He loved spending time with everyone at various family gatherings but he was particularly fond of being "Papa" to his grandson, Carson. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends who dubbed him "best fishing guide in the Tri-Cities."

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbi Ellingsworth.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patti; father, Glenn; sister, Virginia Nash ('69); brothers, Robert ('73), and Mike Ellingsworth; daughter, Kathryn Ellingsworth; step kids, Jessica (Marcus) Howard, Chase Dooley, Walker Dooley, and "Papa's best boy", grandson, Carson Dooley; the most wonderful aunts; cousins; and other relatives that made Jim's life complete.

A celebration of life will be held at 3pm Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Memories at Sunset Event Center, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland followed by an inurnment near the lake searching for the next "big catch" at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
