Greg passed away peacefully on August 29, 2015, surrounded by his family at his home in Moxee, WA. He was born on October 23, 1952, to Bill and Garda Olsen in Spokane.

He grew up in Richland with his sister Sue. He was a very outgoing young man with a strong testimony who chose to fulfill a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to the Virginia/North Carolina Mission in 1972. He often talked of his mission fondly as well as the amazing people and experiences he had.

He met his wife, Denise Smith, after his mission and they were married in the Logan, UT Temple on September 20, 1974. Greg and Denise had a large family of six daughters and two sons.

Greg was the life of any party and could find an acquaintance in almost any city. He loved people of all backgrounds and ages. He was very active in his community and church. He belonged to the Antique Truck Historical Society and was a member of the Constitution Party. He was also a supporter and participant in the annual Hop Festival in Moxee, WA.

He will be missed by his community, his church and especially his family. The most important thing in his life was his family.

Greg was proceeded in death by two sons Jared Gregory Olsen and Heston Hunt Olsen.

He is survived by his wife Denise and his daughters: Rae Anne Toth, Wendi Kay Pearson, Mindy Marin (Ben) Johnston, Maleah Denise (Brent) Erickson, Haylee Renee' Olsen, and Kelsey Marie Olsen; his sister Sue Ann Olsen Shaffer ('67); and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on September 4, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yakima.
