Glen, 32, of West Richland, died January 16, 1977, in Kadlec Hospital following an auto accident. Born in Lidgerwood, ND on May 23, 1944, he lived in Richland since 1948.

Glen graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962, and was a utility craftsman for the City of Richland.

He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, West Richland Jaycees and Local 280 Operating Engineers.

Survivors include wife, Yvonne; daughters, Lynn and Dana Neitzel (both HHS); mother, Dorothy Poston, and step-father, Eugene Poston; siblings Gloria Neitzel Haugen ('59), Gail Gerald Neitzel ('63), and Lavonne Neitzel Rube ('64).

Visitation was January 19, 1977, at Einan's Funeral Home. Services will be announced.


Crash victim remains in critical condition.

A West Richland youth remained in critical condition today from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on January 16, 1977.

Dana Neitzel, 8, suffered a broken leg and other injuries in the accident in which her father, Glen Neitzel, 32, was killed.

Lola Roach, 39, was charged with negligent homicide in the case, is expected to be arraigned January 19, 1977, in Benton County Superior Court.

In Benton County District Court on January 18, 1977, Judge Daryl Johnson ordered her sent to Mid-Columbia Mental Health Center for observation.

No bail has been set.

Neitzel was killed in a head-on collision near the intersection of Van Giesen Street and Buckskin Loop.
