Larry Coye, 33, of Bellevue, WA died November 6, 1978, of an apparent heart attack while hunting near Dayton, WA. He was born in Richland and attended Richland's Columbia High School with the class of 1963. He took welding at CBC, and his CB radio handle was SAW.
Larry married Linda Swain, also of Richland, April 20, 1968. They moved to Bellevue ten years ago.
He was a truck driver for Santana Trucking and Excavating Company of Redmond, a Vietnam veteran, member of Boilermakers Union Local 104, Machinists Union and past member of the Richland Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include wife, Linda Swain Coye ('66); daughters, Sally and Vickie; parents, Verda and David Coye; siblings: LaVern "Vern" Coye ('56 honorary), Shirley Coye DesChane ('58), and Gene Coye ('68 honorary); and grandmother, Mrs. Ella Willis.
Services were held at Einan's Funeral Home with O. J. Russell officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven Cemetery in Richland. Memorial services were held in Bellevue on November 11, 1978.
Memorials may be made to the Washington State Heart Association or to the Larry Coye Memorial Fund c/o Delbert DesChane at 2312 Boise Street in Richland.
