Obituaries
Susan Kay Taylor Bingeman, 52, of Colton, WA, died
Tuesday, May 6, at her home.
Susan was born June 28, 1950, at Richland, WA, to
Mike and Lee Dennis Taylor. She grew up and attended
school there, graduating from Richland High School in
1968. Susan attended Washington State University and
Columbia Basin College, where she received her
associate degree.
Susan married Varyl W. Bingeman on November 12, 1974 in
Coeur d'Alene, ID, and they made Richland their home.
During this time she worked for J.A. Jones on the
Hanford site, as well as for a time at Battelle. Susan
was always a hard and dedicated worker.
The family moved to Colton, WA, in October 1985, and in
1986, Susan accepted a position at Washington State in
the School of Veterinary Medicine. At the time of her
death, Susan was the Program Support Supervisor in the
Veterinary Medicine School.
She was a loving wife, mother and loved family life.
Susan always attended her sons' school and athletic
events. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved
camping, spending time at the cabin at Twin Lakes,
4-wheeling, and hiking.
She was a member of Richland Heights Baptist Church
and had been attending Lewiston First Church of the
Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Varyl W. Bingeman of
Colton; her three sons, Mike of Yakima, WA, and Tom
and Curtis of Colton; her parents, Mike and Lee Taylor
of Richland; and a sister, Karen Taylor Skelly, of West
Richland, WA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m.
at the Lewiston Church of the Nazarene, 1700 Eighth St.
Pastor Jim Baughman will officiate. Arrangements are
under the direction of Kimball Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy
Association in honor of Susan's close friend, Jan
McGowan.
