MICHAEL JOSEPH BOTT ~ Class of 1965
July 7, 1947 - November 27, 2005

Michael Joseph Bott, 58, of West Richland, died November 27, 2005, surrounded by his loved ones at
Hospice at the Chaplaincy after a long illness.

Mike was born in Richland on July 7, 1947, the seventh child of Walt and Jane Bott.

He is survived by his mother, Jane Bott; his daughter, Mandy Bott; sisters, Barbara Druffel, 
JoAnn Pooler, Pete Bartholomew, Peggy Bott Panisko ('59) and Nancy Bott ('64wb); 
and brothers, Jim Bott and Pat Bott ('68); as well as many nieces and nephews and his
'heart and soul', Cathy.

He attended Richland schools graduating from high school in 1965. He graduated from Central
Washington University with a degree in business.

He served in the military from January, 1968 to December, 1969 and was awarded the Bronze Star for
service in the Vietnam War.

He was an avid golfer, an animal lover and above all a family man. His bravery, sense of humor,
brilliance and kindness enriched the lives of all those who were lucky enough to know him. We love
you and miss you Mike.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2005, at 2pm at Christ the King Church in
Richland followed by a gathering of family and friends at the West Richland Golf Course.
