Alvin H. Strege passed away on Sept. 27, 2006 at Richland Life Care. He was born on 11/29/38
in Lidgerwood, ND to Elma and Alvin H. Strege Sr. The family moved to Richland in Oct. 1948.

Alvin joined the Air Force after graduating from Columbia High School in 1956. He served in Africa,
Texas and Ohio. He worked as a barber both in Benton City and at Guy’s barber shop in Richland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin H. Strege, Sr. and step-father Donovan Bigelow.
He is survived by three children: Lisa Dolthorp of CA, Kim Kelley of Kennewick and 
A.J. Strege of Spokane. He leaves six grandchildren. Alvin is also survived by his mother,
Elma Bigelow and two sisters: Shirley Strege ('54) Bigelow (Charles '54) and Sharon Strege ('52)
Zinsli (Robert), all of Richland.

Memorial services win be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on October 15th at 2pm. And a 
graveside service and burial will be held at 5pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland.
