TONNYA DAWN SHANE-ANDREWS ~ Class of 1982
January 19, 1964 - July 28, 2006

Tonnya Dawn Shane-Anders, 42, of West Richland was born January 19, 1964 in Tacoma, WA and passed
away July 28, 2006 in Seattle, WA. She was a housing inspector.

As a child, Tonnya was raised out in the country where she raised horses and cats. Tonnya was very
active in church and loved going to Sunday School. She was also active in 4-H and traveled to many
states entering her horse in shows.

As Tonnya grew up, she continued her loved for horses and animals in general. She was always willing
to take animals in and care for them till they were able to leave on their own. Her favorite times
were getting on her horse and riding the country side either by herself or with family.

Tonnya graduated from Richland High School in 1982 and became a parent to her daughter shortly after
in 1983. As a parent her hardest struggle was being single. However, Tonnya took the challenge and
overcame. Her love for decorating and cooking kept her spirits high but sometimes frightened her
children. Tonya became a proud parent to her 2nd child, a beautiful boy, in December of 1987.

Her greatest times were when we went camping as a family. She also found peace in gardening and
planting. Where there was dirt, she could plant a flower.

Before she went, Tonnya was able to enjoy one more addition to the family that brought her great joy,
a grandson, Alexander, born in December 2003.

Tonnya was also able to find her way back to God before passing and became active in her local church
activities and loved helping the kids in Sunday School.

Tonnya leaves her two children, Amber and Cody; parents, Bill and Bea Shane, Barb Huskinson; and a
sister, Talley, who loved and will miss her very much.

Memorial services was at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at Einan’s Funeral Home.
