Bev Sullivan - recent

Beverly Ann (Sis) Sullivan Johnson went to heaven October 13, 2007.

Bev was born on October 13, 1936, in Ajo, AZ. At the age of 6, the family moved to a small farm near Springfield, MO, and a few months later, their stepfather left to work construction on the Hanford Project in Washington state. On her eighth birthday, her Mom, two sisters and brother piled into a '39 Ford, and after many blowouts on wartime tires, followed to the old Hanford Town Site. She attended Columbia High School in Richland, WA graduated in 1954, and then moved to Southern California where she met and married Aaron Johnson, Sr. In 1969, she, Aaron and their two children moved back to Richland.

Bev is survived by her husband Aaron; son, Aaron Johnson, II ('82), his two children Morgan and Aaron Reighly, and Morgan's daughter Benadetta; daughter, Teresa Knecht and her husband Kenny; Teresa's daughter, Jacqueline Knecht, her husband, Chris, and their daughter Laynie; brother Bob (Sullivan) Ramsey ('54) and sister-in-law Pat Ramsey; sister, Katherine Ramsey ('61), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Ramsey; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou Sullivan White ('46wb) and Ed White; and two of their children; Edward, Jr. and Louise Mark.

She also leaves so many wonderful friends who gave their time helping care for her during the last few weeks, and for whom she was so grateful. She felt fortunate, as does her family, for Dr. Weeks and the entire staff at the Tri-Cities Hematology and Oncology Cancer Center, and guidance and care of the Hospice organization. In lieu of flowers, Bev requested donations be made to the Hospice house or the Cancer Center that their good work shall continue.
