EVERETT, George Clayton
Born May 30, 1936 in Estella, OK to George Mikel Everett and Oral Blanche McCrain Everett.
The Everetts moved to Washington in 1932. George was baptized into the Church of Christ November, 1948. He graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA, in 1955.
He went to Los Angeles, CA and began his C.O. work in October, 1955 and worked for Mayflower Market for 11 yrs. On June 1, 1957 he married Leona Jean Boek in Los Angeles, CA. They then moved to Sacramento and he worked 24 years for Albertson's.
After retiring from Albertson's June 1, 1992, George and Leona bought a motor home and moved to Albany, OR and traveled over the United States until she passed away with cancer May 23, 1998 in Sacramento, CA. He then traveled another year by himself.
To the union of George and Leona their family increased by 4 children, Carla Jean Everett (Chronicle) Albany, OR, Donna Marie Everett (Fike) Albany, OR; George Mikel Everett, Kalispell, MT, Wesley Dale Everett, Sacramento, CA. George has one living aunt, Thila Adila Bray of Goddard, KS.
He has 1 sister and 2 brothers, Coleen Roetta Osburn ('51), LaFayette, OR, Charles Wesley Everett, Orangevale, CA, Thomas Andrew Everett ('56), Altus, OK.
On September 21, 1999, he married Wanda Turner of Ceres, CA. To the union of George and Wanda he has 3 stepchildren, Randall Turner, Sr., Oakdale, CA, Terry Turner, Ceres, CA, Jennifer Turner Cutter, Auburn, CA; 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA on Wed., 8/29, 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be at Mount Vernon on Thurs. 8/30 at 2pm.
