Larry Lee Dean, age 61, of Richland, died Monday, March 12, 2007 at his home.

Larry was born in Richland on September 23, 1945, in Richland, Washington to John W. Sr. and Thada Dean. He married Linda Lee Robinson on September 23, 1967 in El Paso Robles, CA.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a very caring person and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was a 1965 Columbia High School graduate and was a contributor to the Alumni Sandstorm newsletters. He worked at the Hanford Site for over 30 years. He was the owner/operator (in his spare-time) at C&D Excavating and the Suntannery in Kennewick.

Honorably discharged in 1969 from the U.S. Army, he served in the Vietnam War and he was devoted to his country and his community.

He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and sitting around a camp fire with family and friends. He also loved to his annual hunting trips with just the guys, BBQs anytime someone was around, working on old and new cars, working with wood, building things, and every Saturday at the Farmer’s market.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter and son-in-law Annette and Chris Elliott of Kennewick, WA; mother-in-law Betty Robinson, and brother-in-law Kenneth Robinson of Richland, WA; 3 Brothers, John W Dean and wife Lucy of Hawaii, Jerry H. Dean ('53) of Kennewick, WA, and Carl W. Dean ('64) and wife Marcia of Benton City, WA.; 6 Sisters, Ann Dean Simmons, Alice Dean Durham, Connie Dean O’Neil ('60) and husband Jerry, and Ginger Dean Kidder ('66) and husband Ron, all of Richland, Ruth Dean Tempke ('54) and Debbi Dean Brown and husband Terry of Ephrata, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

He was proceeded in death by his Father and Mother; father-in-law, James E. K. Robinson; 4 Brothers, Donald B. ('51), James M., Bennett J. ('59), and Robert G. Sr. ('66).

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 11am at Einan's Funeral Home. Casual clothing is requested.
