JEFFREY THAYER BERG ~ Class of 1973
September 11, 1955 - March 18, 2007
Jeffrey T. Berg of Richland passed away on March 18 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Tacoma on September 11, 1955, the youngest son of Robert and Dolores Berg. Jeff graduated from Columbia High School in 1973 and Columbia Basin College in 1976. He worked for Tri-River Chemical of Pasco for many years, and for the past 6 years had been a local representative for the Amvac Chemical Company of Los Angeles.
Jeff always enjoyed his work and his family, particularly all the frequent camping trips with the kids to neat places like Wallowa Lake. He relished the renewal of joy of the last 8 years with his loving wife Laura, all those trips around the Northwest with her as well as all those little weekend escapades around the country.
Jeff is survived by wife Laura Berg, Richland; daughters Kelsey Berg, Plummer ID, and Kathryn Berg, Salem, OR; stepdaughters Chelsea Dyer, Richland and Heather Roll, Kennewick; stepson Curtis Dyer of Kennewick; sister Barbara Beil, Jacksonville, FL; brothers David Berg of Bonney Lake, WA and Monte Berg of Sunriver, OR; and his very special stepmother, Rosina Shaw of Tacoma, WA.
Services will be held at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland on March 31 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either Hospice of the Chaplaincy, 2108 W. Entiat Ave., Kennewick, W A. 99336, or Tri-Cities Cancer Center, 7350 W. Deschutes Ave., Kennewick, WA.
