DAVID WALTER "DAVE" BRUSIE ~ Class of 1951
April 14, 1933 - November 13, 2008
~
David Walter Brusie of Lake Oswego, OR passed away with his family by side on November 13, 2008.
He was a loving husband and amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather. This man was loved beyond words but that was nothing compared to the love he gave everyone else. If a neighbor needed a ride, the church needed a volunteer or his kids or grandkids needed a shoulder to cry on, he was there. Because he was an organ donor his giving will have no end.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol, his daughter and son-in- law Karen and Chuck Webster of Tualatin, son Michael of New Orleans, daughter Kelley and son-in-law J.J. Mills of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren Tyler, Katie and Chandler and great-grandchildren Jacob and Finley.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie ('45)
He was born in South Shore South Dakota in 1933. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1951 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He played basketball while in the Air Force as well as the University of Utah where he went to college. His emailing and visits with his fellow servicemen from Chicksands Air Base in England was one of the highlights of his life.
Services Tuesday, November 18 at 11:00 at the Resurrection Catholic Church in Tualatin. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Vincent De Paul Society.
