James A. Gladfelder, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 15, 2008.
Celebration of life: A private family celebration will be held at a later date in the state of Washington for all the wonderful memories he has left us.
James was born June 25, 1935, in Centerville, Iowa, and grew up in Richland. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1956.
He was an aeronautical electrical engineer and worked 23 years at Boeing in Seattle, WA, and with Lockheed Martin for 19 years, working in Burbank, CA, Marietta, GA, and retired from the Fort Worth facility.
His family wishes to thank the Eagle Mountain Emergency Services and his caregivers at Vitas Hospice for their loving care and support.
Survivors: Wife of 32 years, Linda; daughter, Kristene and husband, Tom Bourne of Seattle, WA; sons, David Gladfelder of Starr, ID; James Michael and wife, Teri Gladfelder, of Issaquah, WA; and Mark Gladfelder of Puyallup, WA; stepson, Brian Barton of California City, CA; sisters, Marilyn ('48) and husband, Bill Stine of College Station, TX; and Kathryn Schuoler ('57) of Benton City, WA; 15 grandchildren.
