Laverda Walter, 71, of Cashmere, died Sunday, May 11, 2008. She had lived in Cashmere for 42 years. She was a homemaker and worked seasonally in the fruit packing plants.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin J. Walter of Cashmere; and her son, Gary Walter of Salem, Conn.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cashmere City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee
