Judith Odell Verellen, 62, was born on December 22, 1945 in Bremerton, WA and died on Friday, November 14, 2008 at her Tumwater home, ending her battle with ovarian cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Verellen ('62); sister, Diane ('67); daughters, Jenny and Kathy; sons, Jim, Chris and Peter; son-in-law, Jay; and daughters-in-law, Julie and Amie. Her grandchildren include Brianna, Jayden, Dalton, Jasmine, Garret, Hunter, and a new addition due in April.

Judy and her sister Diane were raised in Richland by their parents, Walt and Odella Ingalls. Judy moved to Seattle in 1964, where she married Bob Verellen and had five children. The whole clan moved to Tumwater in 1980 where "teacher Judy" worked at Littlerock Elementary School for over twenty years as a kindergarten teacher's aide.

Judy will be greatly missed for her warm and caring heart, which touched everyone she encountered. She loved working with children both at school and home. Judy greatly enjoyed trips with her family to Disneyland and the Captain Grogg pirate treasure hunts at the annual Westport family reunion.

Services will be held in Tumwater on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Mills and Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Road SW, with a reception following at the Tumwater Comfort Inn, 1620 74th Avenue SW.
