Doug Wooten passed away February 2, 2008 at his home of natural causes.
Doug went to Carmichael Jr. High school and graduated from Columbia High School in Richland in 1964.
Doug was a Redding resident of over 30 years and worked for Crown Motors for more than 20 years as finance manager/fleet manager. His passion was leading worship in the various churches he served in throughout his adult life. He was a board member for the California Baptist Foundation for many years. He was a loving family man, an excellent grandfather and a good friend and mentor to many people. He was an avid golfer. He was a member at River Bend Golf and Country Club where he made a hole-in-one. One of the highlights of his life was playing Pebble Beach in 2007. Doug was a godly man of integrity and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Dianna Wooten, son Aaron Wooten, daughters Andrea Sanderson and Amy Wooten, father Herman Wooten, brother David Wooten, sister Lisa Hansel and a large extended family.
A celebration service was held at Neighborhood Church on Loma Vista in Redding, Friday, February 8, 2008. The Leonard D. Wooten Memorial Fund has been established at Redding Bank of Commerce in lieu of flowers. Proceeds are designated for a surgery for his daughter, Amy.
