Ruth Marie Clifford Paslay went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2009 at Kadlec Medical Center, Richland, WA, after a long battle with kidney failure and heart failure.
Ruth was born March 21, 1941 at home in Staples, MN., to Raymond and Myrtle Clifford. She came to Kennewick in 1946 with her family. They eventually settled down in Richland in 1948 after the flood of the Columbia River, where she attended school and graduated from Columbia High in 1960.
She was very active in a singles group at the Westside Church, where she met and married her husband Richard W. Paslay. She went and stayed with her in-laws in Kahlotus, WA, while Richard was in the Navy and out to sea. She later joined him for a while in San Diego, CA, until his tour was finished.
