STEPHEN ROBERT "STEVE" FOWLER ~ Class of 1970
November 18, 1951 to May 15, 2009

Stephen, 57, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009, at home with his wife Peggy at his side after a brave battle with cancer. One of five children, Stephen was born in Richland on November 18, 1951, to parents Keith and Pauline Fowler. He married his love Peggy in 1978 in Fresno, CA. In 1994 the family moved to Kent, WA.

Stephen was a loving and involved husband, father and grandfather. Along with passion for his family, he enjoyed reading, playing guitar, chocolate, barbeque, baseball, scrabble, jokes, and his family's cabin. He was a dedicated employee and served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and later as a deacon and elder for their church.

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Keith Fowler.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Peggy and their children Amanda (Josh), Suzanne (Aaron), Drew (Kelly), and Austin, his mother Pauline, and his siblings, Irene ('68), Diane, Brian and Judy. He has five grandchildren: Nardos, Netsanet, Hana, Micah and Asa along with a large and loving extended family and network of friends.

Stephen will be deeply missed, but his life will be celebrated for generations to come.

The memorial service was held Saturday, May 23 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Renton. Memorials may be sent to First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. S.E. Renton, WA 98031.
