ANN RENE DEWANE HOLLICK ~ Class of 1951
January 4, 1934 - November 17, 2010
Ann Rene Dewane was born January 4, 1934 in Morris, MN to Thomas and Sarah Dewane. Ann passed from this life on November 17, 2010 from natural causes.
In 1946, after a short stay in Yakima, she moved to Richland with her parents. Ann was a long time member of Christ the King Church. She was an avid quilter, and frequently donated her time and talents crafting quilts for Catholic Family Charities and her family.
Ann graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Walla Walla, and she dedicated her professional life to nursing for the next 30 years. Ann married James Hollick in 1955, and
together they raised 10 children. Ann found time to read, solve crossword puzzles, play cards with her friends, and attend an occasional play or enjoy a grandchild's school or
sporting event, all while balancing the demands of her nursing career and ever expanding family. Ann will be truly missed by all those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 2001, her son David in 1986, and her brother Tom ('55).
She is survived by her two brothers Jim and Jerry ('61) Dewane, children Jim ('74), John ('76) (JoAnn) of Denver, Pete (Debbee), Marj Petersen ('78)(Jeff), Mary Frances ('80) (Dwight Carter), Karen Wheeler ('82) (Gary), Joe ('84), Pat ('86) (Bonnie),
Tony (9'89) (Vanessa), eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Ann's viewing will be held on Sunday November 28th from 5- 6pm at Einan's Funeral Home followed by a rosary from 6- 7pm.
A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King church on Monday November 29th at 11am followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at Memories at Sunset Event Center.
