When Jann Elizabeth Hanes Wingard was born on April 17, 1937, in Kellogg, ID her father, E.R. Barker (Past Coach and Principal of Columbia High School), was 27 and her mother, Janet Morgan Barker, was 25.

She married Ramon C. Hanes and they had two sons together between 1957 and 1959.

She then married John Lemuel Wingard on July 30, 1960, in Kootenai, ID.

She died on May 22, 2010, in Port Orchard, WA at the age of 73, and her ashes were scattered in Eagle, ID.
