Kent Peterson - 1963

Michael Kent Peterson, 65, died October 6th at home in Benton City. He was born February 27, 1945, and grew up in Richland, the son of Virginia Peterson and the late Henry Peterson.

Kent was a long time facilities manager for Union Carbide, later Dow Chemical Company, in Danbury, CT. Previously he worked as a contractor in the Tri-Cities and then in the building industry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Kent loved the water, especially boating on Candlewood Lake in Connecticut where he lived for many years and on the Columbia River.

He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed many good times in his favorite car "The Purple Panda."

He also enjoyed music, especially rock and roll and country.

Kent very much loved his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his three daughters and their families. They are Tracey and Terry Brown and their three daughters, Britney, Brianne and Courtney, of Pasco, WA; Kelley and Vincent Mottola (and Missy) of Lake Tahoe, CA; and Jill and Dan Andrews and their four children, Kaitlyn, Sidney, Christopher and Adisyn, of Dayton, WA.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher.

He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Peterson, and sister and brother-in-law, Carol ('66) and Frank Zimmerman, all of Sandy Hook, CT.
