John Burnett, 64, of Richland passed away Monday, November 8, at Kadlec Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1946, in Harrison, Arkansas to Roger and Stella Burnett. He moved to Richland in 1948 with his parents and two brothers.

He served in the US Air Force, from 1967-1971, serving in Vietnam from 1969-1970. After returning from Vietnam, he started working for Hanford, where he would retire from in 2009.

John was an active member of the Temple Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his son, grandson, and two brothers.

He is survived by son Robert and daughter-in-law Amber Burnett of Sidney, NE. Two brothers James and David both of Richland, and one grandson, Wyatt Burnett, also of Sidney.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland.Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
