James "Jim" Durfee of Benton City, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his home after his year long battle with cancer.
Born in Central Point, OR on March 30, 1961 to George and Norma Durfee, Jim was a loving husband, father, son, and grandfather.
Jim was employed by Kadlec Medical Center for 20 years as a Lead Maintenance Mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary; his mother Norma Campbell; his brother Steve and wife Karen; his daughter Michelle and her children John Michael and Marcus; daughter Kim Britt and her child Taylor; son Joseph and his wife Lehua and their children Brittany, Courtney, Shelby, Carine, Makayla and Tyler; daughter Denise and her husband Phillip and children Anthony and Haylee, son Stephen and wife Billie and their expectant son Mason James; son Travis, son Trevor, daughter Jackie, and daughter Tiffany.
Jim was preceded in death by his father George, brother David and step-father Ray Campbell. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House. Thank you to all of Jim's extended family at Kadlec Hospital and the Tri-City Hospice Team.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 15th at the Knights of Columbus off the By-pass Highway in Richland. Light refreshments will be provided.
