He attended Eastern Washington University concentrating in computer programming. He was a Navy reservist from 1984 to 1991. He married Rebecca Canady on New Year's Eve 1992 after a 6-year courtship.

Since March 1999, Jeff worked for Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer. He spent most of high school and college participating in marching and jazz band playing the flute and saxophone. Jeff had a passion for the outdoors and adventure enjoying road trips, National Parks and geocaching. He loved professional sports especially Seattle teams. Jeff will be remembered as 'Forever in Blue Jeans' the way he lived life laid-back and comfortable. His humor, intelligence and graciousness will never be forgotten he consistently inspired and cheered others on. He was loving, forgiving and non-judgmental; everyone was his friend.
