Archibald Gordon Weir, 81, of Orangevale, CA died June 20, 2011.

He was a native of Casper, WY He was the husband of the late Lucille Weir, father of Doug (Kim) Weir, Mary (Jack) Shaw, Carol (Dean) Shellenberger, John (Kris) Weir, and the late Muriel (Chuck) Group, and dear friend of Betty Spencer; grandfather of David, Steven, Jimmy, Ian, Matt, Katie, Garrett, Elizabeth, and Allyson; great-grandfather of Emma, Abbey, Jackson, and Gavin; and brother of Jean Weir ('43), the late Mary Weir ('40), and the late Kay Weir Fishback ('37).

Gordie served as a public school teacher in Orangevale for nearly 35 years. A devoted traditional jazz lover and long-time volunteer for the Sacramento Jazz Societym he was happiest when with his family during the holidays and family celebrations.

He was a frequent volunteer at his children's school activities and was active in his church. Gordon leaves behind many fond memories for his family and friends. He will be missed by many.

Visitation was June 23rd at Price Funeral Chapel the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 24th at Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale). Interment Calvary Cemetery.
