Jerry, age 77 of Kennewick passed away peacefully in the hands of our Lord, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House of liver failure.
He was born on January 21, 1934 in Freeman Township, MN to John William, Sr. and Thada Margaret Dean.
He graduated from Columbia High in 1953 and went into the Army. When he returned in 1955 he settled in Seattle where he raised his family and worked as an insurance agent. He returned to the Tri-Cities after retiring.
In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and supervising family projects.
Survived by his son Timothy (and wife Tracey) of Kennewick, and their 4 children, Zachary, Danika, Kolton and Jaxon; daughter Tami (and husband Nikolai) of Lake Stevens, WA and their 4 children Alexis Kroshko and her husband Dmitriy, Anastasia, Tatiana and Vasily; 2 brothers, John W. Dean and wife Lucy of Hawaii; Carl W. Dean ('64) and wife Marcia of Benton City; 6 sisters, Ann Dean Simmons, Alice Dean Durham, Connie Dean O'Neil ('60) and husband Jerry, Ginger Dean Kidder and husband Ron all of Richland; Ruth Dean Tempke ('54) and Debbie Dean Brown and husband Terry of Ephrata, WA; sisters-in-law, Delores, Linda and Barbara (Dean) Story; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his 2 daughters Tracey and Kelly; Father and Mother; 5 Brothers, Donald ('51), James, Bennett ('59), Larry ('65), Robert Sr. ('66).
There was a Celebration of Gerald's Life on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Center in Kennewick.
