Janice Beardsley Detrick, 65, walked away with the angels on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Barnwell County, SC Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Detrick was born Oklahoma City, OK on December 29,1945. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Betty H. Beardsley. She was a retired purchasing agent with Westinghouse. She was a member of Hagood Ave. Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and a loving "Nanna" to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Larry L. Detrick of Barnwell; son, Justin Paul (Tiffany) Detrick of Barnwell; daughters, Lindsey Detrick of Barnwell and Rhonda Renz of Richland; grandchildren, Dylon, Larson, Dalen Detrick and Kylin Breeden; sisters, Nancy ('65)(Bill) Lucke of Pasco, Paula ('62)(Bill) Glenn of Richland; sister in law, Betty Beardsley of Kennewick.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Charley Beardsley ('56).

Funeral services will be held in South Carolina at 3 pm. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Hagood Ave. Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
