Janie was born July 30, 1946, in Richland to Everett and Betty Moran. The family had moved to Richland in 1945.

She was employed at Swedish Hospital in Seattle at the time of her death

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Bob Nerpel ('62-RIP).

She was survived by her husband, George Snodie, her son, James Nerpel, and her sister Cheryl Moran Fleming ('66).,

A Memorial Service was held in Edmunds on March 26, 2011.
