Julia Giles Connolly, 79, longtime resident of Tucson, died January 27, 2012, after a brief battle with leukemia. Born March 1, 1932

Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas W. Connolly ('48-RIP), who passed away in July 17, 2005. Julia is survived by her son, Thomas C. (Ellyn); grandchildren, Neva Connolly (Jason Green), Thomas G. and great-granddaughter, "pretty girl" Piper Brooke Green. Julia also leaves behind her brother-in-law, James Kay Connolly ('47) (Doris) and her sister-in-law, Sue Heeren (Chuck) and numerous nieces and nephews. Julia had a very close cadre of friends, both near and far, who provided her with much love and happiness.

Julia lived her life wholeheartedly and to the fullest. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS Foundation.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
