Arlene Harden Lilly - recent

Arlene went home to Jesus February 4, 2012. She passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, following a short battle with cancer. She was 64.

Born Arlene Elizabeth Harden at Kadlec Hospital on December 18, 1947 to Virgil and Louise Harden, she lived her entire life in the Tri-Cities. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1966 and attended Northwest College in Kirkland, WA. While at Northwest she sang, toured, and produced an album as part of a trio.

She married Terry Lilly at Richland Assembly of God July 30, 1971. She was always happy to share her famously delicious food at any potluck, holiday, gathering, or church event. She was an amazing cake decorator and was frequently asked to make wedding and birthday cakes. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidery, watching family movies, reading, listening to Southern Gospel music, and anything involving her grandchildren.

She worked for many years as a secretary in the Kennewick School District, retiring in 2010 as the Director of the Community Education Program. Arlene said her greatest joy in life was watching both her sons commit their lives to Christ. For the past 21 years she was a member at Faith Assembly church in Pasco. In her retirement she became a mentor-mom for her church's MOPS group and was committed to attending meetings and making food or gifts for the other group members even throughout her illness.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Terry; sons Sean (Wendy) and Darrin (Kelli); grandchildren Paige, Isaiah, and Zoe; siblings Steve, Darrell ('73), David ('74), and Debbie ('80); and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and infant son Terry Charles Lilly, Jr.

Visitation was February 7th at Einan's Funeral Home. A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at l0am Wednesday February 8th at Faith Assembly located at 1800 N. Road 72, Pasco, with graveside services immediately following at Sunset Memorial Gardens 915 By-Pass Highway, Richland.
