BOMBER MEMORIAL
KELLY ANN WEIL AUSTIN ~ Class of 1981
November 13, 1963 - August 30, 2012
Kelly, age 48, entered into eternal rest on August 30, 2012, at Valley General Hospital, Renton, WA with her family by her side. She bravely fought a year-long battle with cancer, and various complications. She never gave up hope that she could survive and be there for her family. That was most important to her.
Kelly was born on November 13, 1963 in Pasco, WA to Victor and Clara Shaw Weil of Richland. She attended Richland schools, graduating in 1981 from Columbia High School. She went on to WSU, graduating in 1987 with a degree in Clothing and Textiles. She enjoyed participating in marching band on the flag teams at both schools.
She married Glenn Austin on August 3, 1985 at Christ the King Church, Richland. They moved frequently for Glenn's job, but currently reside in Maple Valley, WA. At one time she was an office assistant at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eugene, OR. She was a private business owner, and helped to found home school cooperatives wherever they lived. Kelly helped found First Class Home School Ministries when they lived in Vancouver, WA. She had a generous heart, a deep faith in the Lord. Whenever she saw a need, she was there, giving of herself. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing, cooking and singing.
Kelly is survived by husband, Glenn, daughter, Tori, son, Geordan. her parents, brother Michael ('80) Weil (Patti) of Kennewick, sisters, Shannon ('82) Lamarche (Jeff), Maureen ('87) Schafer (Brady), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, niece Stephanie Weil, cousins Christine Gransbery and Kevin Shaw, uncles William Shaw, Wayne (Irene), and Floyd Weil (Elsie).
