June 20, 1955 - November 16, 2013
~
Keith Michael Prichard, 58, of West Richland passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Hospice at the Chaplaincy in Kennewick. Keith battled a glioblastoma brain tumor for just over a year with numerous trips to University of Washington in Seattle for treatment.
Keith was born in Carlinville, IL, on June 20, 1955, to Earl and Delores Prichard, but lived nearly all his life in the Tri-Cities. Keith graduated from Columbia High School in 1973 as a 3-letter varsity athlete in football, basketball and baseball.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a pipefitter with the Local 598. Keith worked for JA Jones during his apprenticeship and was a contract employee at the Hanford site. He worked several odd jobs until going to work for what would eventually become Areva NP. Keith was a maintenance pipefitter for over 26 years with the company and recently retired.
Keith's true passion was the outdoors. Whether he was hunting big bulls or catching fat walleye or just camping by the creek, Keith was truly at home. Adventures at Kaner Flats, Twin Lakes, or the Little Naches were especially close to his heart. Keith was known to socialize at the Uptown Tavern in Richland with many of his close friends. He also held some of the best BBQs at his home in West Richland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Prichard and
Delores Meicenheimer Prichard ('52).
He is survived by his wife, Marci; his daughter, Ashley; and his brother Earl ('72).
His sense of humor, kindness and loving spirit will be memorialized at a Celebration of Life Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 6pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2500 Chester Road in Richland.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, 1480 Fowler St., Richland, WA 99352.
