Marilyn, age 77, Of Medical Lake, WA died on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from complications following a stroke she suffered on April 5, 2014. She was born on October 25, 1936, to Howard and Esther Watts in Pomona, KS.

She moved from Kansas to Washington State in 1946. She grew up in Richland and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1954. She moved to Medical Lake in 1967, residing on Silver Lake with her husband Dick and family.

She is survived by her husband Richard W. Betts, six children, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three sisters, many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dogs Sophie and Max.

A memorial service for friends and family was held to celebrate her life on June 11, 2014, in Cheney, WA. Private interment will be at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
