JEFFREY ROBERT "JEFF" DeMEYER ~ Class of 1962
October 7, 1944 - November 24, 2014

In loving memory and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met. Jeff is free of the bonds of earth and safe in Heaven. He was born in Superior, WI to Henry and Betty DeMeyer.

The family moved to Richland when he was 2 years old. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1962. He met and married Cathy Blaine DeMeyer in 1964 and they raised 3 children: Shawna, Julie and Chad. Jeff worked at Boise Cascade in Wallula, WA and had many friends.

He was a softball coach for the girls and he loved it. Jeff also was on the planning committee for the Class of '62 for the 50 year reunion.

He was preceded on death by his parents; sister, Judy ('56); nephew, Phillip; and his son, Scott.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cathy DeMeyer; his children: Shawna, Julie and Chad; his siblings: Mary Lou DeMeyer Gnoza ('59), Steve DeMeyer ('67), and Kathy DeMeyer Hodges ('71); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 2-4 pm at Events at Sunset; 915 Bypass Hwy, Richland.

Good-bye Papa, until we me meet again. We will always love and miss you every day.
