LINDA ANN HILL BAKER ~ Class of 1972

Linda passed away peacefully on March 31, 2014, at her home in Bellevue surrounded by her husband and two daughters. Born on November 30, 1953, Linda lived most of her life in Washington, residing in Bellevue with her husband for the last 29 years.
She had a soul filled with love, compassion, kindness and understanding that anyone fortunate to have known her will never forget. Linda was a loving, compassionate woman who made an impact on all those she touched. She had a deep love for her family and friends, travel and her home on Orcas Island.
She was born in Seattle and moved to the Tri-Cities in 1968 with her parents Tom and Ronna Hill. Linda enjoyed working in the family business, first at her parents' hotel, the Rivershore, and later at Hill's on the Mall restaurant at Columbia Center Mall.
She graduated from Richland's Columbia High in 1972 and continued her education at WSU before moving to Seattle and marrying Jeff Baker. Linda spent an impressive 30 years in the mortgage banking industry before becoming a successful executive business coach in 2009.
Her father, Tom Hill, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jeff; two daughters: Lisa (Ben) Thiele and Kristen Baker; grandson Mason; her mother, Ronna Hill; siblings Susan Hill (Billy) Rulon ('74), Sandra Hill Sawyer, and Steve Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Baker Avenue Foundation to Art with Heart, Evergreen Hospice, or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
A celebration of life was held at Newcastle Golf Course, 15500 Six Penny Lane, Newcastle, WA 98059 on April 17, 2014.
