Barbara, 55, passed away June 28, 2014, in Richland. She was born in Anaconda, MT and moved to the Tri-Cities when she was six years old.

She worked as a waitress and spent 21 years at the Spudnut Shop, making many friends along the way.

Among her many joys, Barbara loved the outdoors and being with her grandkids, as well as reading and spending time with her husband, Gary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Voorhies, Sr, and her brother, Sam Voorhies, Jr. ('70).

Barbara is survived by her husband, Gary Welch, her brothers Bob ('72) and Rick ('75) and her mother Carolyn Voorhies.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Richland on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 10:30am.
