BOMBER MEMORIAL
SHAUN CHRISTOPHER MAESTAS ~ Class of 1998
August 2, 1978 - February 13, 2014
Shaun Maestas, 35, of Richland, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 13, 2014. Born August 2, 1978, in Kennewick, WA, Shaun spent the first part of his life in Texas, New Jersey and Colorado.
In 1996, Shaun returned to Washington to finish school at Richland High. During his time there he made many lifelong friends who will always remember him as the man in the trench coat and cowboy hat. He was working towards a degree in history with the hopes of becoming a high school teacher.
His loves included the Denver Broncos, Atlanta Braves and most of all his 13 year old daughter. His laugh was contagious and he had the best sense of humor. Shaun was a very passionate person that was always willing to help a friend. He was the most loving son, brother, father and friend anyone could have asked for. He impacted many lives in the short time he was on earth, and we are all richer for it.
Proceeded in death by his grandmother, Jo Ellis.
He is survived by his mother Rebecca; father Henry; grandfather Paul Ellis; three brothers; Gilbert (Melissa), Trever (Brandie), Ian (Melissa), loving daughter, Lakota Rose House-Maestas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11am March 1, 2014, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Richland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made at Sterling Savings Bank in memory of Shaun Maestas.
