ELAINE MAE ARMSTRONG ANDERSON ~ Class of 1954
July 26, 1936 – March 16, 2015

Elaine passed away at 78 after an extended Alzheimer’s disease illness.
Elaine was one of four children born to Roy and Rowena Armstrong in Loveland, Colorado. Elaine married the love of her life, Wayne Anderson, on August 15, 1954. They lived most of their married life in Corvallis. Elaine was a very funny and loving lady who always took care of everyone else first. Elaine enjoyed golfing, bowling, spending the winter months in Arizona in their RV and raising her three children.
Elaine and Wayne created Anderson Nursery, now Anderson Blues, in north Corvallis, OR.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; and her sister, Rosalie ('48) .
She is survived by her children, Beth Snyder (Dave), Todd Anderson (Paula) and Lacey Duncan (Bill); grandchildren: Ashley, Riley, Jacob, and Deanna; great-grandchildren: Anderson and Hunter; and brothers, Russ ('53) and LeRoy ('58), and their spouses.
A graveside funeral service took place at Twin Oaks Cemetery near Albany, OR.
The family would like to thank the staff of Benton Hospice Service and Twin Firs Adult Foster Home for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Benton Hospice Service.
