Take over a Bomber Website
Take a look at your class site at:
http://richlandbombers.19**.tripod.com (replace **'s with YOUR year)
NOTE: when you go to this URL (the thingy that begins with http://), it defaults to the index.html file... so do NOT change the name of the index.html file.

See the link for people to get their address added to the page???? Right now that is set so that the e-mail they send will go to maren@richlandbombers.com (some may still say vegas68@cheerful.com)

Here's what you do:
Go to http://www.tripod.com
Click the LOGIN icon (top of the page)
user name: richlandbombers.19** (no spaces... and a dot between name and year)
password: ******* (I'll give you the password)
Then click the BUILD & EDIT tab
Click the File Manager link (right side of page).
Click in the little box to the left of the file named: index.html
Then click the gray "Edit" box that's just above the line that says: Directory: http://richlandbombers.19**.tripod.com/

Now you're there.... here's an "assignment" for you:

ASSIGNMENT #1
Look in the rather large box below where it says:
Filename: /index.html
There is a scroll bar for this box as well as a scroll bar for the whole page.... you MAY have to use your left/right scroll bar to find the up/down scroll bar for the large box.

Find where it says maren@richlandbombers.com (or vegas68@cheerful.com)
ADD the email address you want to use:
Put a comma right after my email address and then type yours -- NO SPACES
Remember, this is where people will be sending you e-mail to let you know about changes on this page. ACCURACY IS EVERYTHING! Double check the email address you are adding. Ask another Bomber to "proof read" the website after you change it.

NOTE: What e-mail address to use:
You can use your own e-mail address if you want to.
There is an e-mail address that goes with your Tripod site. It's richlandbombers.19**@lycos.com

ASSIGNMENT #2
Check out the web based e-mail address:
Go to http://login.mail.lycos.com/
Login member name: richlandbombers.19**
Password: Same password as the one for Tripod (I'll send you the password in a separate email)

CONTINUATION OF ASSIGNMENT #1
There's ANOTHER place where it says maren@richlandbombers.com --- WAY at the bottom of the page.... (Email the webmaster) You'll want to add your email address here, too, since you will be doing the site maintenance on this page.

Change the "Page updated" date.

Click the gray SAVE button that's up above the screen full of HTML code. Then you can PREVIEW if you want to see if you did it right. (NOTE: you can PREVIEW before you SAVE if you're unsure.
