Hey, Janet!
Great entry in the Sandstorm! I, too was attacked once
for something I wrote in the Sandstorm. I have to admit, I
licked my wounds for a while and was fearful of attending a
public meeting when I knew this person would be there. I
also had to take a break when the war was starting (and
started). Maren did a great job of keeping that subject off
limits for awhile but I was feeling so alone in my belief
that war should not be an option unless truly unavoidable to
protect the homeland. I was being called "unamerican" and I
love this country and have been active in the political
process since I was 21. I think the Sandstorm is an amazing
forum and Maren handles it with amazing sensibility.
If you are planning to be at Club 40 do you have any
ideas about how to handle a get together for the '59ers? So
far, we are planning to meet early Friday evening on the
deck at the Shilo just so we can say "Hi." and chat with
each other. (Now that you mention it, I have missed your
entries in the Sandstorm.)

Your "liberal" (when did that get to be a dirty word?)
       classmate and friend, Missy
