The picture (above) of these first nuns was taken in September 1954, probably by Father Sweeney, who was an accomplished photographer.

Information originally published in the Tri-City Herald on August 25, 1954, just before classes started in September for the first 3 grades. with more than 300 registered for the two classes in each grade. At the start of the first 3 grades, there were 7 nuns, which included Sister Superior, who was also the Principal.
