Could this be either the 760 or 761 building, or possibly
something in North Richland?

[Hey! Those people "stole" a picture that I made... you
can see it at: http://hanford.houses.tripod.com/ How do
I KNOW it was "my" picture? Well, the pictures of the
houses came from the book called "ABC Houses" (I think)
-- all except for the "L" house picture... and that
house is a picture that I took in 1960 of the "L" house
at 1604 Putnam. At the time, it was occupied by the
R.E. McGrath family -- and it was later purchased by
Robley Johnson.... ain't that a hoot?? You can tell
that the "L" house is a real picture... all the rest
are sketches -Maren]

Shaklee makes several soy-based protein powder products that I
think are reasonably good tasting. I always mix mine with milk,
though the instructions for the Cinch line of weight-loss/control
products say to mix it with water - that line is more expensive
than the others. The suggested retail for the Energizing Soy
Protein (Natural Vanilla and Creamy Cocoa) is $38.70 for a 30-
serving can. The Meal Shakes are more flavorful to me and cost
$21.70 for 16 servings (French Vanilla, Bavarian Cocoa). My
preference is to use one scoop of each of the two products with
10 ounces of milk and blend. You can go to the Shaklee web site
and find a distributor in your area - sometimes you can find one
who will do sales below the SRP, or you can become a distributor
and get about a 15% discount forever. The Shaklee vitamins - all
of their products, really - are top quality.
Regards, ecb3 -from the nasty cold snap in central Virginia where
nearby fields still have an inch or so of snow left from the Dec.
20 storm.

Re: Note about 5th grade class
Did anyone from the class of '63 attend 5th grade at Spalding
Elementary School on Williams?
I was in a 5th grade class at Spalding in 1955 but left with the
family for Germany. Glenda SMITH ('63) was the only person I
remember in that class, but I can't find any pictures of our
class in the Alumni Section. Anyone have a class picture of us?
Anyone know of anyone who might have that class picture?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Protein Drinks
To: Marilyn "Em" DeVINE ('52)
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I have been busy doing
Y/E for several clients and just did get caught up on my reading.
My doctor friend had me go to GNC and pick up the protein powder
there. It was the only kind that was tasteless. Because of it
being tasteless I could sprinkle it on cereal, ice cream, put it
in eggs, etc. I literally put it in everything I cooked.
Your son-in-law bless his heart, watched Bill go thru it all as
we are friends. I dropped by to see Bobby last year while I was
in the Tri-Cities and finally got to meet your daughter over
dinner at their home. I had a wonderful visit with the both of
them. She is truly amazing!

Re: Bomber Basketball - 2010 edition
Thanks, Richard ANDERSON ('60) for the posting about this year's
basketball team. I've been trying to follow them from afar
(Redmond), but there is only so much information in the Tri-city
Herald online version. Your description reminds me of the 1984
team – there are many similarities.
~ Most of the team was made up of dedicated "Basketball" guys –
Kevin PRESTO ('84), Scott FRICK ('84) (also a very good high
jumper), Rob BUCHANAN (‘84), and Mark BORGESON ('84), along with
a couple of multi-sport players like Terry DUNCAN ('85), Rob
FRYER ('85), and Steve VAN LIEW ('84).
~ They too were undefeated for much of the season (22-0) and
rated #1 most of the 1/2 half of the season
~ Kamiakin (like this year) was the other good team and the only
team in the league to really challenge them (should be a good
game this Saturday)
Let's hope that this year's tea, keeps it up and ends up having a
better State tournament than that year's team did (2 and done,
but still many great memories). I'm looking forward to watching
this year's team when they come over the mountains for State.
